Upper East’s most wanted rapist, murderer and armed robber finally busted

After playing hide and seek with security agencies, a serial rapist, murderer and armed robber in the Upper East Region has finally been arrested by the police according to a statement released and signed by the Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP David Fianko-Okyere

21-year-old Pius Ayomah Anundiabil is alleged to be behind several robberies, rape and murder in some parts of the country at Fumbusi in the Sandema District of Ghana

The suspect Pius who claims to be 21-years of age and a native of Fumbisi  in the Upper East Region,  has been on police wanted list for the past two years for alleged  rape and robbery cases in Accra and a murder in Koforidua in the Eastern region

He is currently in custody of the Upper East Regional Police Command as plans are underway to transport him to Accra for further investigations.

ASP David Fianko-Okyere on behalf of the Upper East Regional Police Command expressed gratitude to the residents of the Fumbisi for their cooperation and assistance leading to the arrest of the suspect as well as the maintenance of law and order in the entire Sandema District.

The police administration is also used the opportunity to urge anyone especially residents of the Region along the borders of the neighbouring countries to be more vigilant and report any suspicious characters leading to prevention or arrest of criminals to the nearest police stations.
